Initial Root Cause Assessment

The 60-minute session that connects your results to how you feel.

One gut microbiome test or blood panel, reviewed with Dr. Allie, so you know what's driving your gut, mood, and hormone symptoms and what to do next.

Your test is billed separately, and we place the order for you.

A simple way to get the answers you need

The Initial Root Cause Assessment gives you a licensed naturopathic doctor looking at your actual results, explaining what's driving your symptoms, and telling you what to do next. One test, one 60-minute session, $250.

How it works

From intake to answers

  1. 01

    Tell me your story

After you enroll, you'll fill out an intake form about your symptoms, health history, and goals.

  2. 02

    Take your test

Once your intake is reviewed, we place your test order for you. The gut test kit ships to your home, and for the blood panel you'll get instructions for your draw at a local lab.

  3. 03

    Meet with Dr. Allie

Once your results are in, we meet for 60 minutes by video. I connect your results to your symptoms, your cycle, and your history, and you leave knowing what's driving your symptoms and what to do next.

Choose your test

Two ways to get your answers

Your assessment includes a review of one test. Choose the one that matches your biggest symptoms. Tests range from $200 to $300.

Option 1

Gut microbiome test

The Tiny Health adult gut test, an at-home stool test that uses shotgun metagenomic sequencing. It reads the DNA of the bacteria in your gut down to the species level, so it shows bacteria that drive bloating and inflammation, beneficial bacteria that are low or missing, bacteria linked to estrogen recycling and histamine, and the overall balance of your microbiome.

Bloating · Gas · Constipation · Loose stools · Reflux · Food reactions · Histamine symptoms · Skin flares · Estrogen dominance · Detoxification issues · Symptoms that came back after a gut protocol

Option 2

Brain chemistry, blood sugar, and hormone panel

A comprehensive blood workup drawn at a local lab. It looks at the nutrients and minerals your body needs to make and balance neurotransmitters, how steady your blood sugar is through the day, your hormones and thyroid, and iron, inflammation, and foundational markers.

Anxiety · Low mood · Brain fog · Mental health symptoms that concern you · Low energy · Energy crashes · Cravings · Mood swings · Hormone shifts you can feel through your cycle · PMS · Perimenopause

Not sure which to choose? Note your biggest symptom on your intake form. If I think the other test is a better fit, I'll let you know before you order.

$250plus your test ($200 to $300)

What's not included

A full treatment plan or supplement protocol

A plan works when it's adjusted as your body responds. Without follow-up, women end up with a cabinet full of supplements and no way to know which ones are helping.

If you want a full plan and support to carry it out, that's what my 1:1 program is for. After your session, you'll know whether it's the right next step, and your $250 is credited toward it.

This assessment is for you if

  • You have anxiety, low mood, or brain fog along with gut or hormone symptoms
  • You deal with bloating, constipation, loose stools, reflux, or new food reactions
  • Your symptoms shift with your cycle
  • Your labs keep coming back normal and you still don't feel right
  • You've spent money on supplements and protocols that didn't hold
  • You want answers before you commit to a program

Frequently asked questions

Is the test included?

Your test is billed separately, so you only pay for the test that fits your symptoms. We place the order for you after your intake is reviewed. Tests range from $200 to $300, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

How long until I get my results?

Blood results usually come back within about a week. Gut test results take about 3 to 4 weeks. You'll book your session for after your results arrive.

Will I be pitched after my session?

At the end of your session, I'll tell you what I'd recommend. If my 1:1 program is a good fit, I'll explain how it works and what it costs, and your $250 is credited toward it if you enroll. You get your results review and written summary either way, and the decision is yours.

How is this different from your 1:1 program?

The assessment gives you answers and a starting point. My 1:1 program includes your full personalized plan, follow-up visits, follow-up testing, and support between visits.

Do you take insurance?

I don't accept insurance. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for all fees.
